HR software for remote teams
The admin side of a distributed team: hours filled in by each person and approved across time zones, leave with balances and a planner, and contracts signed by link instead of by printer.

Where Growee fits, and where it does not
Growee is HR software, not an Employer of Record. It will not employ people for you in a country where you have no entity, and it does not run payroll or pay contractors. Deel and Remote sell those services (as of August 2026). Growee holds the record for the team you already employ: timesheets by project, leave and holiday calendars, documents with expiration dates, and e-signature.
Three things this actually replaces
Usually a shared timesheet spreadsheet, a leave tracker nobody updates, and contracts that travel as email attachments.
Hours land in the week they were worked
A timesheet week is one row per project, one box per weekday. People fill their own week, and the approver reviews it when their own day starts, whatever the gap between time zones.
- One row per project or task, hours per day
- Day and week views, with a switch for whose timesheet you are looking at
- Reports by week, month, quarter or year, and by project, task or team
Leave approved without both people being awake
A request carries its type, dates and days off, and goes to the approver you chose. The answer stays on the record instead of in a chat thread. Public holidays for 99 countries come from the dataset behind our national holidays pages: check United States, Canada or Germany for 2026.
- Request, approve, reject or cancel, with every state in one list
- Balances by year and leave type; day counts skip weekends and public holidays
- A planner with national holidays, weekends and personal leave, and presence sheets from the same records
Contracts and addenda signed without a printer
An employment contract, a salary addendum and a GDPR agreement are each a document type you define, filed on the employee's record with an expiration date. Templates fill in the employee's data, so the paperwork assembles itself.
- E-signature by link, in the browser, no account for the signer
- The signed file stays on the record with a fingerprint tied to its contents
- Expiration alerts in your dashboard or by email
E-signature is on the paid plan; documents and expiration alerts are not. See e-signature →
Growee vs Deel vs Remote
Deel and Remote are global-employment companies: they employ people for you in countries where you have no entity, and they price that per head. Growee does neither. If the question is who legally employs your hire in Portugal, buy an EOR. If you already employ the team and the admin lives in spreadsheets, that is what Growee covers.
Deel cells come from its own HR solutions page and pricing page (as of August 2026): the HR page calls Deel HR "the global HR software for companies managing distributed teams across multiple countries" and says local compliance, employment contracts and country-specific time-off rules are built into every workflow across 150+ countries; the pricing page lists Hire at $14 per worker per month, self-managed contractors at $49 per contractor per month, Contractor of Record at $325, Employer of Record at $599 and US PEO at $125 per person per month, and publishes no standalone price for Deel HR. Remote cells come from its own Global HR page and pricing page (as of August 2026): the Global HR page lists Remote Recruit and Talent Insights across 55+ countries, Payroll, Statutory Payment Reports, Employer of Record, Contractor Payments, Compliance Watchtower and Device Management; its pricing page lists Employer of Record at $699 per employee per month. Cells marked "Not published" mean the vendor does not state it on the pages we checked — not that its product cannot do it. Growee figures are our live plans, priced in euros, so read the columns as a comparison of shape rather than of exchange rates.

What is the best HR software for remote teams?
It depends on whether you need someone to employ your people. To hire in a country where you have no legal entity, buy an Employer of Record; Growee is not one. Deel lists EOR at $599 per employee per month and Remote at $699 (as of August 2026). If you already employ or contract with your team, Growee covers the admin around them at €2 per person per month, free for up to 3 people. Plenty of distributed teams run both: an EOR for the employment, an HR system for the day-to-day.
How does Growee handle public holidays in different countries?
Growee tracks public holidays for 99 countries, the same dataset behind our public national holidays pages. In 2026 that is 11 federal holidays in the United States, 8 bank holidays in England, 12 in Canada and 9 nationwide in Germany. Your company calendar fills in automatically for your country, you can add or edit entries yourself, and leave day counts and presence sheets skip those days.
How much does Growee cost for a distributed team?
Free for up to 3 people, then €2 per person per month, or €20 per person per year, wherever those people live. There is no per-country surcharge, because Growee is not employing anyone on your behalf. See pricing for the add-ons.
