The Everee Alternative for Everything Around Payroll
Everee is payroll and workforce-payments software for US businesses. Growee is not a payroll processor — it is the layer around one: time tracking, employee records, leave, invoicing and CRM. If you are moving off Everee, here is exactly what you can export, what Growee replaces, and what it does not.

Quick answer
Growee is not a US payroll processor. Everee runs payroll — it pays W-2s and 1099s, handles tax compliance across states, and can pay same day (as of August 2026, per everee.com). Growee does none of that. What Growee gives a team leaving Everee is the workforce-management layer around payroll: time tracking and timesheets, employee records, leave and approvals, client invoicing, expenses, projects and CRM, for €2/person/month. Time tracking, records, leave and projects are free for up to 3 people; invoicing and expenses start on the paid plan. You keep a payroll provider for filings and payments, and export employee, bank and leave data from Growee to feed it.
Migrating your data out of Everee
Steps 1 to 4 use Everee's own documented exports and API. Steps 5 and 6 are the Growee side. Do the exports before you cancel anything.
- 01
Export your journal entries as CSV
Everee documents this click path: log in to app.everee.com, open Settings → Reports, scroll to Journal entries under Payments and click Download, then choose a start and end date and download the report. Their article notes the export requires your Accounts to be mapped first, so check that before you start.

Build the payment reports you actually need
For anything wider than journal entries, go to Reports → Advanced payment reports. Everee describes custom reports that any admin can create, name and define, with configurable columns, filters, and "Summarize by" / "Group by" settings, plus a shared company template called "Payment detail report". Reports generate in the background and download from an icon once ready, with an option to be emailed when they are. Everee's own product page says these reports export as CSV or Excel, "not clunky PDFs", and can run up to a year of data in one go.
One caveat from Everee's own docs: the Advanced payment reports article marks the feature as a beta experience.

Pull pay history and statements through the API
Everee runs a public REST API at
https://api.everee.com, documented on developer.everee.com. Requests carry two headers —authorization: basic <token>andx-everee-tenant-id: <id>— with tokens generated in the Integrations Hub inside the Everee app. A token that starts withsk_has to be base64-encoded first. The documented read endpoints that get history out: a worker's pay history, a single pay-history item by payment ID, the list of available pay statements, and downloading a pay statement — generated on demand as a PDF behind a signed URL valid for at least ten minutes. There are also endpoints for listing shifts on an employee's time card.
Two things to plan around. Everee's API introduction does not document a bulk "list all workers" endpoint, so do not count on pulling the whole roster in one call. And Everee points most integrators at its Timesheets API first, which is about pushing hours in rather than getting history out.

Ask Everee support for whatever is left
Everee's export article points questions to support@everee.com. Ask while your account is still active. A report you can no longer generate is a report you no longer have.

Import your people into Growee
Import an entire employee roster from a CSV during setup or a mass onboarding, with validation as it runs so bad rows surface before they land in your records. Profiles hold personal details, contact information, employment history and custom fields, with an audit trail on every change. See employee management.
- 06
Import your clients and leads
Bring your client list and pipeline across with the CRM CSV template: map your spreadsheet columns once and import the rest in bulk. When a deal closes it converts to a client record with its history intact — and clients are what your invoices bill against. See the CRM.
Payroll still runs where it runs
Growee does not file taxes or pay your workers, so line up a payroll provider before you switch. Growee exports employee data and bank details — filtered by department, contract type or anything else — plus leave and attendance as CSV, so your provider or accountant gets the exact file they ask for. And you can export everything out of Growee any time. No lock-in.
Growee vs Everee
These two products do different jobs. This grid shows where they overlap, and the two rows where Everee does something Growee will never do.
Everee cells come from everee.com, help.everee.com and developer.everee.com, as of August 2026. "Not verified" means we could not confirm that capability either way in our review of those sites — not that Everee lacks it. Growee figures reflect our live plans.
What teams leaving Everee still need
The work layer, not the payroll engine
Everee's job is paying people: it runs payroll for W-2s and 1099s and moves the money, same day if you want it. Growee does not do that job and does not pretend to. Growee is the layer in front of it — hours logged against projects and clients, approvals, and the reports that tell you what a week of work actually cost. When payroll day comes, you export the numbers and your provider pays.
Leave, records and approvals in one place
Time off is where spreadsheets break first. Growee tracks balances per contract type, routes requests through the right approvers, writes approved leave straight into the attendance sheet, and exports the whole history as CSV for payroll, audits or compliance. Employee profiles sit next to it, with contact details, employment history, custom fields and an audit trail on every change.
Bill your clients, not just pay your workers
Payroll software moves money out to workers. It does not send the invoice that brings money in. Growee turns billable hours into a branded invoice against the client record your team already works from, tracks status through to paid, and keeps a dedicated expense tracker beside it — receipts, categories, reporting. Both sit on the Growth plan, at €2 per person per month, rather than in a separate billing subscription.
Your pipeline next to your people
Staffing and services businesses sell before they staff. Growee keeps leads, the visual pipeline, client records and campaigns in the same product as timesheets, leave and invoices — one login, one set of client records. Your AI assistants can reach it too: Growee ships a native MCP server, so Claude or ChatGPT can read your pipeline or check who is off without an integration project first.

What Growee costs as you grow
One published per-person price and no sales call. HR, time tracking and leave are in the free plan for your first 3 people; invoicing and expenses come with Growth.
Growee is also available annually at €20/person/year. These figures cover Growee only — budget separately for the payroll provider that files and pays.
Frequently asked questions
Is Growee an Everee alternative?
Only for part of what Everee does, and it is worth being precise about which part. Everee is payroll and workforce-payments software: it runs payroll for W-2s and 1099s, handles tax compliance across states, and pays workers, same day if needed (as of August 2026, per everee.com). Growee is not a US payroll processor and does not replace that. What Growee does replace is everything around it — time tracking and timesheets, employee records, leave and approvals, client invoicing, expenses, projects and CRM — for €2 per person per month. Time tracking, records, leave and projects are free for up to 3 people, invoicing and expenses start on the paid plan, and the CRM is free up to 100 leads and €49/month beyond that. If you are leaving Everee, the realistic setup is Growee for the workforce and back-office layer plus a payroll provider that files and pays.
Does Growee run payroll?
No. Growee does not calculate or withhold payroll taxes, file W-2s or 1099s, and does not move money to your workers. It feeds the system that does: you can export employee data and bank details, filtered by department, contract type or any other criteria, and export leave and attendance data as CSV, so your payroll provider or accountant gets exactly the file they ask for. If a vendor tells you one product does both the HR layer and US payroll filings, check which licences and registrations sit behind that claim.
How do I export my data from Everee?
Everee documents two export paths in its help center (as of August 2026). For journal entries: log in to app.everee.com, open Settings → Reports, scroll to Journal entries under Payments, click Download, then pick a start and end date — the article notes your Accounts must be mapped first. For broader data: Reports → Advanced payment reports lets admins build named custom reports with configurable columns, filters and grouping, which Everee says export as CSV or Excel and can cover up to a year of data in one run; that article marks the feature as a beta experience. There is also a REST API on developer.everee.com for pay history and pay statements. Everee's export article points questions to support@everee.com.
Can I export my full worker roster out of Everee?
Not through anything we could verify. Searching help.everee.com, we found a Bulk Worker Upload tool — which imports workers into Everee — and an individual Worker Profile view, but no dedicated article for a one-click export of the worker list itself (as of August 2026). The API introduction documents worker onboarding, address and bank-account updates rather than a bulk "list all workers" read endpoint. So plan on assembling your people list from the payment and journal reports above, or from your own records, and confirm with support@everee.com before you close the account.
What does Everee cost?
Everee publishes three tiers and no self-serve checkout — every one carries a "Get custom quote" button (as of August 2026, per everee.com/pricing). Workforce Payments is billed per payment, "From $0.50", with no charge for workers who do not take shifts. HR & Payroll Platform is billed per active employee, but the per-employee figure is not published. Payroll As A Service, for technology partners embedding payroll, is priced through "flexible revenue share or wholesale pricing". Everee also states that per-worker and per-payment rates fall as volume rises, without publishing the thresholds, and that its Visa® Pay Card carries "a small monthly fee per active card" without naming the amount. Growee, by contrast, publishes one price: €2 per person per month, free for up to 3 people.
Does Everee have a free trial?
We did not find one documented. Across everee.com, help.everee.com and developer.everee.com, every pricing call to action is "Get custom quote", "Get a demo" or "Book a demo" — sales-gated, with no credit-card-free signup flow we could locate (as of August 2026). The only free item we confirmed is a developer sandbox listed under their developer tools, which is not a trial of the payroll product. Growee is free for up to 3 people with no credit card, and you can export your data at any time.
